Fearing her boyfriend was going
to drive drunk, Alvarez, 33, rammed her man’s parked truck with
her car. Quick thinking, but it gets worse.
The valiant effort turned into a
disturbing maneuver after cops found out Alvarez had her
one-year-old and 7-seven year old children in the car with her.
Alvarez has been charged with
aggravated battery and two counts of child abuse for the April
13 episode.
She's being held in a
Palm Beach County jail
probably thinking it would have been a better idea to be a
designated driver.
Birth control has long been a
woman's burden, but a new shot for men could help women put away
the pill forever.
A new study says a
testosterone-based injection for men is a highly effective and
reversible birth control option.
The study gave 1,000 fertile
Chinese males between the ages of 20 and 45 one shot per month
over a period of two years, and the results were stunning.
"It dropped the sperm rate so
that men were temporary infertile,"

Dr. Nancy Snyderman
said.
Miami
men seemed mixed yesterday over whether they'd give it a shot.
"Sounds good, why not?" Alex T.
said. "Easy, safe, right? Sounds safe, why not?
"I don't think I would take it,"
said
Jan Sanchez.
"It's something that I don't trust."
Broward General medical chief of
emergency medicine
Dr. Nabil El Sanadi
thinks the test results look good, but more testing needs to be
done.
"Male birth control in the
studies published actually works, as injections in the Asian
male population," Dr. Sanadi said. " More studies need to be
done in caucasian men, in either Europe or the United States to
actually prove effectiveness. And no studies have been done in
the African population."
It sounds promising, but don't
expect the shot to hit stores anytime soon. It seems the folks
who fund the research for the shot aren't that interested in
seeing it go further.
"It's not a very lucrative
market. Obviously there's a lot of ways to control male
fertility in the united States," Dr. Sanadi said. " A male going
once a month for an injection, it seems like something that not
attractive to do."
And even less attractive, the
shot, which would likely be injected into the shoulder, has some
interesting side effects, including a decreased libido and more
virility.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Orange County.
How was that for you? I love Orange County, I still live here and I
LOVE IT!
So not only are you beautiful. I see that you’re smart too. So what
are you studying at college? I'm a Communications major with an
emphasis in Public Relations. I'm also getting my minor in political
science. I love writing and I love politics!
Any wild college party stories you care to tell? I promise we won't
tell your parents. I have been to a few! Went to a lot of the
fraternity parties, they always were a lot of fun, and crazier than
I ever imagined. It was those parties were I really experienced what
college is all about!
I
hear you're very family oriented. What do you think about having
your own some day? I always said id never have a family of my own.
But as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that the older you get, the
more important it is to have family. They’re the best link to your
past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.
How'd you get into modeling? I’ve always had a passion for modeling.
I started working with a few well known photographers a couple years
ago.
So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?
I’ve defiantly learned to NOT trust everyone! You know everyone in
Hollywood claims to be a “producer” or “big shot” who can make you
the “next big thing!” It took me some time to learn that if it looks
like crap, and smells like crap – It’s probably…CRAP! The most
legitimist people I’ve met in the biz don’t claim it.
Where do you want to go with your modeling? My modeling career has
already gone farther than I ever imagined! I’ve definitely been
bless that it has gone so far so quickly. I’ve had the chance to be
published, attend release parties and work with a lot of amazing
models and photographers. I couldn’t ask for more!
If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what
would it be? I’d love to be a news broadcaster, race car driver, or
veterinarian.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hopefully have my degree by
then, and probably working in governmental PR or for a PR firm that
handles entertainment.
Are you a good dancer? I do okay! I wouldn’t put myself up to a
contest, but I can hold my own on the floor! J
What's the wildest thing you've ever done? Flew to New York for a
week with only a couple hours notice with a friend a barely knew!
It’s so not like me to take trips spur of the moment. Turned out to
be one of the craziest trips of my life – and it was full expense
paid!
What's the wildest thing you ever saw? A decapitated body. It was
INSANE!!!
So, does looks mean a lot to you when you're looking at the opposite
sex? You know, I would have to say at one point it did. But since
I’ve met a lot of guys who have the looks but turn out to be jerks –
I’ve changed my mind!!
What type of man do you like? Someone who isn’t afraid to be
themselves, despite what others may think of them! J
Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child? A
little bit of both. I’m pretty laid back in all situations. But I’m
also a cheap date, if you get a little booze in me the wild child’s
bound to come out!

So I hear you're a big music and animal lover. What do you like to
listen to? I’m really pretty open with music. I’m a huge country
fan! I also like reggae, punk & rap!

What did you listen to growing up? I grew up in the Britney Spears -
Spice Girls era!!!! But my parents raised my brother and me on a lot
of classic rock: Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Three Dog Night,
Stevie Wonder, and Aerosmith. I’m pretty well rounded when it comes
to music…
What's your favorite gadget? It has to be my BlackBerry. Also know
as my “CrackBerry” because I’m addicted to it!!
...And what's your favorite animal: I love all animals! I have three
dogs. Two Pit Bulls and a German Sheppard. I love them with all of
my heart!
Is there anything that really pisses you off? Sleeping with my socks
on and slow fast lane drivers. I have a serious case of road rage!
What makes you the most happy? I love helping people. I’m the most
happy when I know I’ve done something to help someone else!
What do you do for fun when you're not modeling? I love going to the
river. I love anything that has to do with the sun. Spend a lot of
time with my family, club hosting in Hollywood, working out,
watching movies, taking trips to New York, Hawaii and Boston.
Are you a designer label type of girl? I don’t care what the label
says, if its jeans or its comfortable – I’ll wear it!

i didn't think that at the age of sixteen that my walk was special
but apparently my first agent did when she saw me walked by. She
approached and asked me to join her modeling agency. I am happy that
i did, it opened another door that I never knew existed.

Eventually I would love to pose for playboy and get into acting as

Where
did you grow up? I grew up everywhere. My father was in the military
so we were places like England and Italy. I was born in Germany

How'd
you get into modeling? Modeling was something that I got into at an
early age but really wasn't able to do a lot with because my family
wanted me to focus on school. The passion was always there so I got
back into my last year in the Air Force

have learned to not doubt my self and that as many times as I may
hear no I cant do it I will eventually hear yes

do you want to go with your modeling? I def. want to branch out from
modeling. I intend to do things like acting. Unlike some people I
know that I can not do modeling forever. So one thing that I do want
to achieve is running my own successful Model Management company.

it be? One of the other things that I always loved to do is media
work so I would say Rosci's job on 106 and Park :)
Where
do you see yourself in 10 years? Successful, happy and being able to
help others with there modeling careers. I def. want to make a
tremendous impact to the community as well through outreach
