We had our casting call in Philly back on May 16th. And this one stood out to us. We loved her interview, and how she made it fun, and had us laughing. So we had to let you guys see what we saw. But don't worry Ashley aint the only one that made an impression on us at that event. So look for more sexiness coming to you from that event in up coming issues of VBLAZIN. Cause we couldn't just choose one. But for now please welcome Ashley to the VB couch!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in four different places. I lived in DC until I was 4yrs old; then, I was suppose to be on vacation in Ivory Coast in west Africa but, I ended up living there for 7yrs. I moved back to the U.S and lived in New Orleans for a couple of months and then moved with my father in Virginia; I stayed there for five years, and moved back to New Orleans.

What's your favorite gadget?

My favorite gadgets(because I have two, can't leave without both of them) would be my I-touch and my phone, I do not go anywhere without those two. My I-Touch provides me with my internet, weather, picture, YouTube, world clock (just in case I'm not in the U.S), music, videos and it goes on, then my phone has my contacts, they are all important, because I do not remember anyone's number, my phone is all I have so understand why I can't lose it; then I got unlimited texting...got to love it!....lol

How'd you get into modeling?

I was not always interested in modeling; i got into it because a lot of people where telling me that i had a nice figure, and that i needed to try modeling. I finally thought about it when I started college, then in August of 08 I met with my agent mike Styles and the decision was made.

So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?

Since I started I was told not to let people know that i was new in this business, because they tend to judge my work abilities and little do they know I have a lot to bring to the table.

Where do you want to go with your modeling?

I want go has far as possible in this modeling business. I want it to be a step for me to be able to do other things such as acting, dancing, and since I can't sing....lol, producing would be good, then own my own modeling agency.

If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what would it be?

If I could do any job besides modeling, it would be a plastic surgery ; plus, I would be a plastic surgeon anyways because that's what I'm in college for....lol

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10yrs I see myself as the plastic surgeon I always wanted to be, achieved my goals in my modeling and acting career, and starting my modeling agency.

 Are you a good dancer?

I love dancing, I've been dancing since I was in my mother's womb; a lot of people remember me has that little girl that used to cry and dance, I have rhythm and I'm a very good dancer.....lol

Would you ever spice things up by dancing for your man?

I would definitely spice things up with my man by dancing, I love to be the center of attention when I'm dancing, and to know that i look good doing it why not!!....lol

What's the wildest thing you've ever done?

The wildest thing I ever done was when i was 14yrs old, i took my brother's car (i had no license) drove and ran into a gas pump with my cousin in the car. When the cops came i begged them not to tell my brother because I knew I would've got my ass beat, but they told them anyways. later that afternoon, you would think I learned my lesson but I toke my aunt's car when she wasn't home, drove it got lost and was about an hour away from New Orleans somewhere on the way to baton rouge, I finally found my way picked up my friend, went downtown New Orleans scratch the car while parking, then immediately bought spray paint and spray painted the scratch, came home parked her car and stood outside until she came home and told her someone vandalized her car...lol...I got away with it!!

What's the wildest ting you ever saw?

The wildest thing i ever saw was when i went to McDonalds with my little niece and my sister and these boys were fighting, then one of then got up went to his car and grabbed a gun and started shooting.....i was scared out of my life!!!

So, does looks mean a lot to you when you're looking at the opposite sex?

Looks matter a little bit when I'm looking at the opposite sex, i have to be physically attracted to him.

What type of man do you like?

I like when a man is taller than me, clean cut or clean dreads, respectful, funny, a legal job, meaning he pays taxes and strong looking....not someone that looks like i can break him...lol....basically, i got to feel protected...lol

Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?

I'm a little bit of both, I'm romantic, and a little wild.....i got to keep it mellow

My turn ons are intelligence, respect, and his swag.

My turn offs are him bragging about how much he makes, him talking to much, and wack ass lines to get my interest.

So I hear you're a big music lover. What do you like to listen to?

I love different types of music, I listen to reggae dancehall, rap, African music, hip-hop music, R&B, salsa, French music, Soca, Zouk, Indian music, I mean its goes on because i like everything I can dance to with a good beat.

What's in your CD player now?

I have a lot of rap and R&B music right now in my I-Touch, i need to upgrade it soon

What did you listen to growing up?

Growing up i listened to a lot of salsa, African, bounce, gogo, rap, dancehall, and Soca music

Is there anything that really pisses you off?

I get pissed off a lot when someone disrespect me, i dislike loud mouth girls that hate most of the time, when someone gets smart, i feel the need to put their ass in check.

What makes you the most happy?

What makes me the most happy is food, my boyfriend, my mother, my father, and my goddess Remi hair.

What do you do for fun when you're not modeling?

When I'm not modeling I go skating, bowling, traveling, and learning new dance moves.

Are you a designer label type of girl?

I'm a designer type chick....that's just the way i was raised.

If I gave you the floor to do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. Who would make that list?

I would make a shout out to all the photographers I've work with such as Terry Lewis, DJ, Tony Watson who shot this feature and my manager Mike Styles. Since I've started I've been getting nothin but love from them and learned so much from them...so I thank them. So, where did you grow up?

I grew up in Camden NJ. If you've ever been there you'd be surprised that I don't have 3 baby daddy's, collect unemployment and welfare.
It's really rough to make it out the hood, if you don't have parents to expose you to other things in the world.

How'd you get into modeling?

I actually did some modeling when i was15-16, my hair stylist got me into hair shows and modeling for local ads. But I lost my motivation after being scammed and took some years off. I got "back in the game" 3 years ago after my now bf motivated me to go after what I really want.

So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?

I've learned not to give people your ass to kiss because you never know who they know or how that person can help you in the long run. No this isn't from personal experience but I've seen this happen before.

Where do you want to go with your modeling?

I want to go to the top... I want the fame, money, and success. I want to get to the point where when people hear my name they know exactly who i am

If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what would it be?

I clothing and jewelry  designer

I see myself still modeling but, also acting, with a husband and kids and my own fashion design company.

I'm a complete goofball, I say random things and i definitely do goofy things... like karaoke at 3am, do the running man in the middle of the dance floor, get the urge to skip (and do it), bought myself a hula hoop, and asked for a Skip It and a Lite Bright for Christmas last year (and yes i got both... please hate)

Yes! And anyone that says different is a damn liar! Looks are what makes you interested in a person. All of that "ohhh he's so smart and goal driven" ish comes after the looks... If I cant tolerate or get pass your face, I'm not trying to get to know you on a personal level. That's not shallow, that's just being real.

From talking to you before hand, I can't believe you're shy. But I hear you can be at times. When are you?

I get nervous when I'm around people I really like and don't know too well. I'm so silly, random and blunt that I get shy in fear of saying something completely off topic and stupid.

What type of man do you like?

I don't have a "type" i just require that you be sexy and be about your business. 

Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?

Both, It all depends on my mood.

Turn ons: confidence but not cockiness and a hard worker, with a heavy dose of sexy

What do you do for fun when you're not modeling?

Play video games, party with my friends, drink, draw and color a few pages of a good coloring book lol 

Are you a designer label type of girl?

NOT AT ALL! Labels don't matter to me, I look fly in a $50 dollar outfit and i look fly in a $800 dollar outfit. Its not the label that makes you look good, its all about how you wear what you wear.

Can I barrow a cup of sugar?

Fun facts: I love to work out and I'm very flexible. If I could I would be a personal trainer. But if you put me on a treadmill or track, You and me will have to fight.  Because I hate running with a passion. My hips are a size 41 and I'm very healthy in the thighs, so that is a lot of weight I have to carry back there. LOL

Where did you grow up? Back and forth from The peach state Georgia and The sunshine state Florida, Mostly in North Florida.  But as soon as I graduate from college, I'm moving to either South Florida, Georgia, or St Lou.

What's your favorite gadget?  My phone, but I always seem to lose it the most.

How'd you get into modeling? Well, I started modeling on my college campus for Faces Modeling Troupe. I love the lights, cameras, clothes and the intensiveness. Although it was a campus modeling troupe, I wanted more. So I branched out to get more exposure and projects.

So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?     Me personally growing up in life, I found out that some time no one will ever take care of you the way only you can, So don’t depend on anyone else for your needs. If you want it done right the first time. Do it your damn self.    That goes for personal needs, income, and materials belongings.

Where do you want to go with your modeling?  I want to do some of everything. That it girl who, just does everything. And gets the job done.

I would not mind following up to some of the greats Tyra, Iman, Melyssa, and  Esther.   
 
I love fashion in every way so editorial, runway, glamour, swim suit. print work, fashion commercial.

If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what would it be? Well I'm in college for Computer engineering, so I want to be the one who produces that new mac computer software G1, Iphone,. The new phone application such as a games and navigation  that everyone spends 2.99 for each month.  LOL.  Either way I'm going to be paid.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

What makes you the most happy? Being alive, being with friends and family who care.

What do you do for fun when you're not modeling? Well I'm also in school so, shopping, texting, parting you know the college stuff. Did u really think I was about to say studying. It said fun things not stressful things.

Are you a designer label type of girl? No, I can make anything work and look good, no matter what/who you are. When I worked for this clothing store in my city, Which house brand name and non name brand. People constantly asked me to help them find an attire young, old, male or female.
